In Summary
Picnic's core team comprises 1000 talented individuals across Amsterdam, Paris, and Düsseldorf. The People Operations team includes 15 HR Business Partners and 20 people administrators responsible for all HR processes, personal development, and organizational challenges in our operations. Currently, Picnic's Dutch operations have 10 thousand active employees.As the People Operations Team Lead for the Netherlands, you will play a crucial role in ensuring employee-centric and efficient HR operations. Your responsibilities will include developing the HR BP's and Admins team, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance, enhancing the employee journey, and designing talent development tracks. Your leadership skills and HR expertise will have a significant impact on our business.
What You Will Do
  • Guide, develop and support the HR BPs team through check-ins and bi-annual reviews
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the international analyst team, people director, and manage external partners like payroll services, health services, and labor inspection
  • Lead people-related initiatives, implement proactive solutions and provide data-driven insights
  • Optimize employee and team lead journeys, manage talent effectively, and establish an HR shared service center
Your primary location will be the Picnic office in Amsterdam, but you will be required to visit fulfillment centers in Utrecht, Rotterdam, Apeldoorn, Eindhoven, and Heerenveen regularly.
About You
  • You hold a relevant Master's degree
  • You have 6 to 8 years of HR experience, ideally as an HR Lead or organizational consultant
  • Prior experience in a start-up/scale-up environment is preferred
  • You are prepared to lead a team and have a keen interest in technology and people
  • You excel at project management, thrive in operational settings, and possess strong knowledge of HR and employment law
  • You are fluent in English and Dutch
