ABN AMRO's Corporate Finance department is on the lookout for enthusiastic and skilled graduates to be part of our exceptional 3-year training program. We are presenting a distinctive chance for you to enhance your abilities as a versatile investment banker, all while engaging in exciting transactions across various industries.

Corporate Finance

ABN AMRO Corporate Finance serves as a leading strategic and financial consultant, delivering a broad array of investment banking services. Situated in Amsterdam, the department is split into two teams (M&A Execution and Capital Structuring & Advisory) and several M&A sector advisory teams.

The sector teams focus on five main themes: New Energies, Digital & Consumer, Mobility & Manufacturing, Financial Institutions, and Shipping. With around 80 colleagues, our department provides clients with daily strategic and financial counsel.
ABN AMRO's unique Corporate Finance talent program involves 2 years of M&A rotations in different sector teams and 1 year of rotations in other departments within the broader Corporate Bank. During your time at ABN AMRO, you'll work closely with each team from the get-go, interact daily with both internal and external parties, and collaborate with clients during deal execution.

Start date
The Nyenrode 5-week training course is held twice annually, in March and September. Nevertheless, we offer a flexible start date throughout the year.

What you'll do:

Execute significant transactions, offering tailored advice and solutions to our corporate clients. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders during the deal lifecycle. Enhance your Corporate Finance skills through financial analysis, presentations, and stakeholder management. Become a well-rounded investment banker and expand your network by working across diverse teams, such as Equity Capital Markets and Acquisition & Leveraged Finance.

Who you are:

Hold a Master's degree when beginning the traineeship. We encourage candidates from various educational backgrounds, so note that a financial or economic degree is not mandatory. Completed a large-cap M&A internship Highly motivated and possess a compelling internal drive to work in Corporate Finance and at ABN AMRO specifically. Entrepreneurial, resourceful, and empathetic with exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written). Thrive in a collaborative and sociable work environment with ample team-building activities.
