**Wat ga je doen?**:
Als research software steward draag je bij aan onze ambitie om van de zorgorganisaties in de regio Leiden toonaangevende FAIR-locaties te maken, ter bevordering van de gezondheid van mensen. We omarmen FAIR-principes en Open Science praktijken om FAIR-data en FAIR-software te creëren die kunnen worden toegepast in geautomatiseerde workflows, waaronder federatieve machine learning en AI.

Je werkt actief samen met diverse belanghebbenden, waaronder datastewards, onderzoekers en softwareontwikkelaars, om een ontwikkelingscultuur te implementeren die geautomatiseerd hergebruik van onderzoekssoftware mogelijk maakt. Daarnaast ontwikkel je richtlijnen voor het beheren van onderzoekssoftware en verzorg je trainingen om deze richtlijnen te implementeren. Je draagt bij aan metadatamodellen die onderzoekssoftware beschrijven en werkt nauw samen met softwareontwikkelaars om deze modellen te implementeren en tools te ontwikkelen voor het beheren van machine-actionable metadata. Je ondersteunt andere (onderzoeks)softwareontwikkelaars bij het gebruik van deze tools voor verbeterde vindbaarheid en herbruikbaarheid in geautomatiseerde workflows. Bovendien bouw je een netwerk binnen het LUMC en neem je deel aan relevante (inter)nationale communities op het gebied van research softwaremanagement.

**Wat neem je mee?**:

- BSc, MSc of bij voorkeur een PhD-graad.
- Ervaring met onderzoekssoftwarebeheer en softwaremanagementplannen. Ervaring met softwaremanagementplannen is een pre.
- Kennis van FAIR-principes en machine-actionability.
- Bekwaamheid in ten minste één programmeertaal (bijv. R of Python) en best practices voor softwareontwikkeling, inclusief documentatie, versiebeheer en licenties.
- Uitstekende communicatieve en samenwerkingsvaardigheden met diverse stakeholders.
- Vaardigheid in het opbouwen en onderhouden van een professioneel netwerk.
- Ondersteuning en training van softwareontwikkelaars.
- Volledige professionele vaardigheid van het Engels op C1-niveau of hoger. Beheersing van de Nederlandse taal is een pre.

**Waar ga je werken?**:
Je komt te werken bij de sectie Advanced Data Management (ADM), onderdeel van de afdeling Biomedical Data Sciences. ADM is het kenniscentrum voor data stewardship voor klinisch wetenschappelijk onderzoek van het LUMC. ADM ondersteunt onderzoekers bij alle facetten van datamanagement en data stewardship, via consultaties en trainingen, en verzorgt het functioneel beheer van Castor EDC. Daarnaast is ADM partner van (inter)nationale projecten waarbij met andere systemen wordt gewerkt voor datamanagement. Binnen deze projecten neemt ADM verschillende rollen op zich, variërend van opzetten van een database en implementeren van FAIR-data tot het verzorgen van data-uitgiftes. De ontwikkelingen binnen data stewardship volgen elkaar snel op. Hier spelen we flexibel op in, wat betekent dat we een lerend en dynamisch team zijn.

Je werkt samen met data stewards, onderzoekers en softwareontwikkelaars die deel uitmaken van het LUMC Data Competence Center (DCC) netwerk, waaronder de Biosemantics groep van de afdeling Humane Genetica. Daarnaast werken we samen met verschillende nationale en internationale organisaties.

**Meer informatie**:

- Als research software steward bedraagt je salaris mínimaal € 3.493;
- en maximaal € 5.504;
- bruto per maand (schaal 10, CAO UMC). Deze bedragen zijn op basis van een fulltime dienstverband.
- Het betreft een tijdelijk dienstverband voor de duur van één jaar, met de mogelijkheid tot verlenging.
- Acquisitie naar aanleiding van deze vacature wordt niet op prijs gesteld.
