Location: HTC Eindhoven

Our client, Philips Research, is seeking individuals to join their ASIC team to collaborate on the design of various mixed-signal Application-Specific ICs (ASICs) for biomedical purposes. These CMOS ASICs are responsible for sensor interfacing functions with a strong digital component. As part of the team of digital design engineers, you will contribute to the ASIC design for a new and exciting application, closely collaborating with the analog and mixed signal team.


Your Qualifications:

  • University Degree (Master or Bachelor) in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of five years experience in digital design, verification, and top-level integration
  • Solid understanding of digital ASIC design processes, from architecture to RTL, verification, synthesis, implementation, and timing analysis
  • Proficient in VHDL, system Verilog, and ideally python
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into digital design specifications and proposals
  • Support digital verification and implementation tasks
  • Capable of integrating complex IP blocks and establishing integration baselines
  • Good knowledge of bus protocols and peripherals such as USB, SPI, I2C, UART etc.
  • Familiarity with DFT insertion and test-pattern generation
  • Collaborate daily with analog and mixed-signal teams
  • Provide progress updates and address issues to project leader and customer
  • Experience in IC implementation of DSP algorithms and functions for sensor interfacing applications
  • Experience with constraint random verification using system Verilog is advantageous
  • Basic familiarity with Mentor Graphics HDL Designer, Questasim, and Cadence Virtuoso is beneficial for analog design
  • Practical experience in digital backend processes is highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in English
