In our Corporate Intellectual Property department at the global headquarters in Veldhoven, we have an amazing internship opportunity.

Your assignment:


As part of this internship, you will support the counsels in the Intellectual Property Ownership & Licensing team (O&L) of ASML's Corporate Intellectual Property department (CIP).

You will become a part of our team, joining our meetings and collaborating closely with us.

Our legal experts will mentor you, providing opportunities to learn, improve and develop your skills in a supportive work environment.


Some of your tasks will include:

  • Manage and maintain the contract administration (e.g., obtain and archive signed contracts, retrieve contracts for counsel(s) or patent attorney(s), etc.);
  • Assist the O&L team in the contract intake and approval process (incl. operation of the software tooling, interaction with internal/external stakeholders, etc.);
  • Generate periodical contract overviews (e.g. closed/pending contracts, contractrelated invention disclosures, contractrelated payment obligations, etc.);
  • Support the O&L team with various substantive and procedural legal activities (e.g. prepare IPR transfer contracts, using approved forms);
  • Signal and identify possibilities for process optimization and take part in the implementation.

  • Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).

This is an apprentice/ graduation internship for 4-5 days a week (onsite) with a duration of 6 months. The start date is around September.
