Work as Electrical Technician Material Handling at AWL

  • You have an MBO 4 diploma in electrical engineering or a similar field;
  • Reading E-plan drawings is a breeze for you;
  • You excel at quickly resolving faults and problems;
  • Previous experience as a (lead/senior) mechanic in a similar setting where you have handled work preparation and supervisory duties on top of assembly;
  • Willingness to travel internationally and proficiency in both Dutch and English.

We're in search of a motivated and seasoned (Senior) Electrical Engineer with a knack for cutting-edge mechanical engineering.

With precision and skill, you will be in charge of the electrical assembly of components, sensors, and wiring in our Material Handling machines. These machines are targeted at the logistics sector. Your work will involve advanced technology such as robots and vision systems while maintaining the highest quality standards, as this is our hallmark.

Within our Material Handling division, we're establishing an entirely new sector at AWL. We're dedicated to maximizing automation and devising solutions that shape the future of logistics.

But wait, there's more You'll collaborate with an enthusiastic project team comprising various technical experts, including programmers and fellow mechanical engineers. Together, you'll ensure seamless transportation and successful installation of our machines worldwide.

This will be your day

7:30 - Kick off the day with a morning meeting at the project to discuss tasks and challenges, followed by machine building with the team. 10:00 - Prepare for an external assignment after a quick team discussion, gather necessary materials, and organize them for dispatch. 13:00 - Encounter a roadblock while working; address it with the Chief Engineer or Project Coordinator, log a ticket, and monitor its resolution. 16:00 - Wrap up the day and tidy up the workspace for a fresh start tomorrow. 16:15 - Wash up and head home.
