Pentair Industrial Solutions business unit is experiencing significant growth. One of Pentair's strategic growth pillars is the Biogas area. The projects will be engineered and produced at our Pentair sites or at an approved supplier. Pentair - Sustainable Gas Solutions (SGS) is specialized within CO2 recovery solutions and Biogas upgrading solution. Pentair helps its clients to lower their carbon footprint and energy bills, and currently we serve customers in more than 150 countries worldwide. In order to achieve further growth, we are looking for a:
Electrical / Automation ENGINEER (m/f/d)
OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION
The Team Leader Electric & Automation is responsible for the electrical & automation engineering team working on the customer projects to create the electrical design as well as the automation software for the plant based on the P&IDs created by the Process Engineering Team.
The Team Leader Electric & Automation ensures good quality and timely completion of the engineering together with his engineering team. He is responsible for providing the necessary resources for business operations and for the professional & personal development of his team.
The Team Leader Electric & Automation reports to the Engineering Manager – Market Line Biogas.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Order management: Active takeover of orders from sales & technology; Assumption of responsibility for a safe design, quality of engineering, on time delivery and cost; Check of sub-assembly budgets; tracking total E&A engineering hours (costs); involvement in drafting contracts with suppliers in terms of technical aspects; scheduling and controlling of E&A engineering work packages; management of project opportunities and risks incl. resulting measures; assignment of resources to core project teams; management of engineering pool resources in alignment with Lead engineers Machine / Component dimensioning: Calculations for dimensioning the electrical components and assemblies to be designed - e.g. power calculations; calculations to ensure the guaranteed performance data of the system. Design solutions: Development of design solutions for systems (including basic electrical circuit diagrams, IT & communication system structures, PLC software concept, HMI concept) based on the product portfolio; creation of detailed solution designs taking into account functional, material, production, HSE and economic aspects as well as evaluation and comparison with existing designs; selection of key components; implementation of the design in compliance with laws and standards / the required design regulations at the place of use / installation site of the system; support of development and standardization projects executed by technology department Communication & exchange of information: Exchange of information with the other teams and specialist departments and suppliers (e.g., alignment of design with mechanical engineering, supply chain and assembly, field assembly and commissioning; as well as suppliers); internal and external representation of the project; internal and external reporting; Documentation of agreements reached. Documentation & risk assessments: Preparation of basic operating and maintenance instructions; Drawing up functional descriptions and operation manuals; Supporting hazard analyses for individual machines as well as for the interlinked complete plant; ensure good quality of final project documentation. Technical leadership: technical supervisor for assigned staff (internal staff or external staff / resources) - provide technical guidance & support; reviewing work results; ensuring that deadlines are met; encouraging and motivating staff to develop themselves in their assigned roles and beyond; participation in further training and planning of further training measures. Disciplinary lead: disciplinary supervisor for the assigned employees (internal employees); conduct staff and appraisal interviews; conduct performance appraisals in consultation with the supervisor; Identifying and solving personnel problems - if necessary, clarifying with the involvement of the supervisor and the HR department; other labor law activities General Management: resource planning; approval of leave and business trips (this is done in consultation with the project management and the supervisor), support department budget planning.QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCES
Electrical or Automation Engineer - Master Level or equivalent qualification Knowledge of tools such as Electrical Engineering Software (e.g., EPlan); PLC Software; HIM Software; PLM Software, ERP Software, MS Office; Special Calculation / Programing Tools 5 years of experience minimum as a E&A Engineer or equivalent role preferable in the Oil & Gas Industry. Experiences on working in a project team incl. experience in a leading role. Knowledge of relevant guidelines and norms. Advanced level in English Independent, proactive, flexible and determined and resilient to stress. Team-player who enjoys working closely with others and thrives in a team environment. Creative in finding solutions, with a strong commitment to quality. Good communication skills with a customer-oriented and commercial mind-set. Analytical and able to maintain an overview of complex processes. Willingness to work internationally (~15%).WE OFFER
