We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bartender for Cafe Americain in the Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American. Set in the vibrant, capital city of the Netherlands, Clayton Hotel Amsterdam American, now part of Dalata Hotel Group is a 4-star, 173-bedroom hotel with an extensive food and beverage offering including Cafe Americain and Bar Americain. It is located on the Leidseplein, in one of the most famous art nouveau buildings in Amsterdam

Objective of the Role

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Bartender will provide a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Regular guests are known and greeted accordingly using their name.
  • Ensure a good working knowledge of food, all beverages and wine. Be able to make recommendations.
  • Be friendly, courteous and professional at all times.
  • Up-sell and maximise sales revenue whenever and wherever possible.

Requirements:

  • Previous hotel experience in a 3/4-star hotel property is desired but not essential.
  • Previous experience in a high volume/ fast paced environment.
  • Previous experience in a busy food and beverage operation
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
  • Cocktailshaker
