Our client is a startup company in the photonics field. It brings Photonic Integrated Circuits based on new electric-optical materials, as a next-generation high-speed modulators in optical communication products.

The exploding market of AI hyper-scalers and datacentres has created an urgent need for new technology that can deliver high bandwidth with lower power consumption and reduced latency.

To grow this company and bring this new exciting technology to the market, we are looking for an ambitious CEO, with experience in product development and production of PICs or CMOS chips.




Responsibilities

You will manage the overall operations of the company as well as develop and implement strategies that meet the needs of the customers, the stakeholders, and the employees.

You will take lead across all aspects of the company by reviewing how departments work together, and build and grow the organization. You will make key decisions that will affect the company's direction and build a positive and productive culture in the workplace.



Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PHD in physics or related field.
  • 5-10 years’ experience as a hands-on technology leader in a similar (start-up / scale-up, larger sized company) environment;
  • Experience in business development, marketing and sales;
  • Experience and network in the optical communication technology and market;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Focus on building, structuring and coaching the team on business development, sales, R&D.
  • A strategic mindset with a pragmatic approach and the ability to thrive under pressure in an dynamic environment.
