We are looking to hire two Field Managers (Competence Managers) to join our team, with demonstrable experience in supervising IT professionals within IT consulting assignments and projects. You are active throughout the Netherlands and are responsible for coaching, guiding and managing employees. You also evaluate the employee's performance in consultation with the client and support the employee's development through career guidance. You work in a team of managers reporting to the Head of Engineering and together with the Sales team, ensure that the right employees are deployed on the right assignment in order to achieve the highest possible quality, client and employee satisfaction. Ideally working 1 day per week from home or from the office in Amsterdam and 3-4 days at the client's location.

What will you be doing?


  • Visiting our consultants onsite at their various client locations.
  • Playing a support role in actively coaching and mentoring consultants in their personal development, encouraging training and certifications and in their overall career aspirations.
  • Monitor projects, ensuring client satisfaction, employee satisfaction and financial success. You are able to think along in technical challenges and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Conducting client interviews and consultant engagement surveys to assess client satisfaction and employee happiness. Offer support to the consultants with challenges they may face in their projects and act as a sparring partner.
  • You will bridge the gap between the consultants, their managers, the sales team and the HR team.
  • Responsible for consultant client preparation (CV, intakes, onboarding, offboarding).
  • Providing management with weekly consultants and status reports.


Candidate Requirements:


  • Fluent in Dutch and English is a must.
  • Relationship builder. Great at networking with people in general, personable with a critical view.
  • Highly motivated, positive go-getter attitude and super goal-oriented.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in consulting and/or project management and/or account management and/or competency and field management of IT professionals is a huge plus. Commercial mindset in balancing the consultant needs vs. the client's wishes.
  • Eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Must have a valid clean driver's license.
