Role and Responsibilities
As a DUV System Performance Focus Design Engineer you contribute to the development of ASML scanner products by testing, analyzing, qualifying, troubleshooting and reporting on system performance items and inventing and specifying improvements. These are within the boundaries imposed by system specifications, costs and planning considerations. Your team is responsible for the performance of the system as a whole.
Main responsibilities
- Drive specification and analysis of qualification and calibration tests and report on the results to different stakeholders e.g. in System Engineering, System Integration and the scanner programs.
- Invent and design new calibration and qualification methods to improve system performance.
- Verify system performance impact of design choices in scanner Hardware and Software and choices in the application (such as scanner and non-scanner settings).
- Design and apply innovative data analytics methods.
- Use statistical methods to show improvements or issues.
- Support the internal and external customers in solving system performance issues.
- Deliver input to ASML’s product performance roadmap.
- Work in a team of multidisciplinary designers and representatives of other sectors to deliver the required improvements.
Education and experience
Technical University masters, preferably PhD, in physics or similar.
- In case of Master degree we are looking for at least 3 years of experience.
- Solid theoretical and/or experimental skills, supported by experience with mathematical modeling, statistics and model verification.
- Good skill in programming in Matlab
- Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude, broad scope and team-player.
