Commercial Operations Manager – Driving Sales & Customer Success

Our client, a specialist in niche manufacturing equipment, is looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to join their growing team. With headquarters in Hilversum and sales offices in Shanghai, China, and Singapore, they provide cutting-edge solutions to global leaders in the food, pharmaceutical, and chemical industries, including Nestlé, FrieslandCampina, Shell, and Abbott.


The Role: The Backbone of Sales & Operations


As a Commercial Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in the commercial success of the company. Acting as the central hub between sales, logistics, production, and key clients, you will ensure seamless coordination of commercial activities, from sales support and order management to customer engagement and operational efficiency.

Your ability to manage multiple priorities, optimize processes, and provide top-tier commercial support will directly impact the company’s growth and customer satisfaction.


What You’ll Do:

  • Sales & Order Management – Handle inquiries, create tailored quotations, and ensure precise order confirmations for high-profile international clients.
  • Customer Success & Engagement – Serve as the key commercial contact for customers, providing proactive support and ensuring smooth sales operations.
  • Operational Coordination – Work closely with production, purchasing, and logistics teams to guarantee efficient order fulfillment and timely deliveries.
  • Commercial Strategy Execution – Support Account Managers by preparing sales data, insights, and materials to drive business growth.
  • Process Optimization – Continuously refine workflows to enhance efficiency in sales and order handling.
  • Marketing & Sales Enablement – Contribute to commercial activities such as promotional initiatives and sales campaigns.


Who You Are:

You are a proactive, commercially minded professional with an entrepreneurial approach. You excel in managing complex processes while maintaining a strong customer focus. Your ability to bridge the gap between sales, operations, and customers makes you an indispensable asset to any team.


What You Bring:

  • Educational Background – MBO or HBO in a commercial, technical, or business-related field.
  • Relevant Experience – A few years in a commercial operations, inside sales, or sales support role within a technical or B2B environment.
  • Commercial Acumen – Strong communication, negotiation, and administrative skills.
  • Process-Driven Mindset – A structured approach to managing orders, logistics, and operational sales processes.
  • Tech-Savvy – Experience with modern ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Exact) is a plus.
  • Languages – Fluency in Dutch and English (additional languages are an advantage).
