For our Almelo site we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Finance to lead our finance team and be a valued member of our local leadership team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, providing strategic insights to support business decisions, and oversee important business relations.


As the Urenco Netherlands Head of Finance you will be part of an international team, with regular interaction with the CFO, group Finance Director and other heads of finance from other Urenco locations. With that this role requires travel to the UK and potentially other Urenco sites as required. The local financial team, you will be the people manager of, consist of three management accountants and the accounts payable team.

This is your background

  • Master degree in finance or accounting (RA or RC)
  • Proven experience as a Financial or Business controller
  • Previous international experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
  • Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor the finance team and influence other departments
  • Understanding of the company's long-term goals and the ability to align financial strategies with these objectives

Where you will be working

Urenco is the hub in a global network for clean energy generation. With our product, enriched uranium, nuclear power plants produce CO2-free electricity for 100 million families, companies and schools. Urenco finds it important to care for people and the environment. Our people get energy from their work and pass it on to others. They determine the success of the organization. We therefore do everything we can to be a diverse and inclusive organization, where everyone feels welcome and valued. The current situation in the world has led to developments in the enrichment market: nuclear power stations are looking for security of supply and this has led to a large increase in demand for our enriched uranium. As part of this, we are committed to expanding capacity, including two new enrichment halls in Almelo. And we can use your knowledge and ambition for that
