Your role as Senior Key Account Manager at Diffutherm offers the chance to shape the future of the global automotive aftermarket while being part of a specialized company with a proven track record. You will be the key contact for managing major accounts in the Private Label and Toll Manufacturing sectors, working closely with a dynamic sales team, and driving strategic goals in a result-oriented environment.
In this role, you will take full ownership of account strategies, partnering with the Sales Director and internal teams to achieve targets and forge strong client relationships. You will translate client needs into practical solutions and take the lead as a strategic advisor, ensuring our services and products align with client expectations.
Together with the sales team and other departments, you will work to provide top-tier service, constantly seeking opportunities for improvement and innovation to enhance the client experience and increase business success.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.
Sales Operations
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and ensure accurate reporting of sales metrics.
- Implement and optimize sales processes and tools for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
Client Relationship Management
- Build new and maintain existing relationships with prospects, key customers and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Oversee major sales negotiations and close high-value deals.
Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to align efforts.
- Provide feedback on market demands and customer insights to inform product and service improvements.
- Be an active team-player in the Sales department and drive progress with a structured approach and way of working.
In this position you report directly to the Sales Director who is part of the GMT.
Who are you?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering (with additional qualifications in business management and/or an MBA), along with at least 5 years of experience in sales within a complex technical and international environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in senior sales positions, consistently surpassing revenue targets, with strong prospecting and business development skills (hunter type) highly desired.
- Strong understanding of sales methodologies/sales steering, CRM systems, and data analytics.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, along with strong networking and interpersonal abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
- Fluent in Dutch and German, good command of English.
- Enjoy hybrid working conditions, with up to 50% international travel.
- Charismatic, energetic and positive personality.
