Job Description
Technically responsible for delivering the functional requirements of lens optimization routines during operation and calibration of ASML DUV products.
Building prototype models and testing tools in Matlab for the lens models of new ASML DUV products. Knowledge of Julia is an added advantage.
Build a relationship and closely work together with our internal development partners. Clearly communicates the requirements towards the groups that are responsible for implementation of the lens model.
Build a relationship and closely work together with our (hardware) suppliers, fellow engineers and product architects. Contribute to the quantification of the hardware improvement for the key parameters of our customers like overlay, focus and imaging. This is achieved by balancing between potential software and hardware improvements.
Identify and explore potential improvement opportunities in the optimization routines. Also ensure the quantification of the improvement (and if applicable regression) that will be observed on the key performance indicators by our end customers.
Contribute to troubleshooting issues, solving escalations, and customer specific requests. This involves analyzing data, connecting the results to physical phenomena and steering towards the proper solution directions

Job Mission
Delivering mathematical models (called lens models) that optimize imaging by projection lens.
Translating customer requirements into actionable design choices of lens models within limits of broader control strategy of ASML DUV scanners.

Education
Technical University Master’s in physics, optics, applied mathematics or equivalent.

Experience
Experience with Matlab/Julia and data analysis. Experience in the field of high-tech system development. Broad knowledge of optical systems and system control algorithms.
Experience and knowledge on quadratic programming optimization algorithms

Sector Information
The DUV Optical Column department is responsible for developing the optical systems that are used for projecting an ic-design layer onto the wafer. The department is divided into multiple groups each of which works in its own specialist subsystem / area.
