Roles and responsibilities

As a Technical Support Engineer Escalation Office, you'll:

  • Support: Support the output versus planning end to end. First line (hands-on and analytical) trouble shoot support for volume production within Twinscan Factory and third line support for the install organization.

  • Machine technology: Have a detailed knowledge and overview of the status of all current volume machines that are actually produced including related technologies.

  • Planning: Plan analyses and solution of problems including consequences for Volume Production and field operation problems (recover sequence and/or PCS/Fishbone).

  • Problem Solving: Point out structural problems towards Process Improvement engineers to be solved structurally or to have a countermeasure.

  • KPI control: Monitor the quality and timing of problems and their implementation, including technical realization.

  • Knowledge transfer: Hands on knowledge transfer to Volume Production. Actively seek for knowledge within Pilot production.

  • Cooperation: Work closely together with other support Departments, as well as multiple layers within the organization, to secure effective problem analysis and continuity.

  • Initiative: Take the lead by executing plans, undertake the right actions on time and take action even when the chance of success is not totally clear. Able to be assertive in escalation meetings where multiple Departments are involved.

  • Creative: Focus on finding more solutions to one problem, able to perceive the problem on multiple ways and able to think outside of the box.

  • Multitasking: Deliver work with good quality and respect delivery deadlines, even when multiple tasks are executed at the same time. Demonstrate a systematic, professional and calm approach when executing several assignments.

Escalation office work

  • Adhere to all aspects of the Escalation Management process, including clear and complete PCCSIM

Lead and own escalation:

  • Lead escalation meetings

  • Ensure all stakeholders have the needed information and are well prepared to take timely decisions

  • Lead Post-Mortems for EL4+ disturbances

  • Resource allocation: alignment with BL + D&E (PCM & PL)

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Physics, Aerospace, Mathematics or Electronics

  • Preferably experience with trouble-shooting: analyzing problem, finding root-cause and determining solution

  • Knowledge of quality improvement methods

  • Knowledge and experience with (technical) project management

  • Experience in problem analysis of products and processes

  • Is prepared to travel in order to solve (potential) problems in the field

  • Has analytical skills, works in a structured way and continues with present information

Other information

The TS Engineer reports to Group leader TS.

You are expected to travel to customer site, for escalations and/or preventive support (travel up to 10%).

In this role, you need to work in dayshift (superflex) schedule as following:

• Mon to Fri from 07:00-:08:30 until 16:00 and from 17:30.

• You work one weekend per month from 07:00 until 16:00.
