TF Operational Excellence (OE) is the game changer for the Twinscan Factory (TF) and directs the structural improvement roadmap towards Operational Excellence. The structural improvement roadmap is the One Single Agenda for TF with all initiatives, programs and activities connected to realizing the TWINSCAN Factory vision.

The Operational Excellence transformation roadmap integrates Safety, Quality, Lean and Business Improvement and is event and deliverable based. TF OE drives TF to create sustainable improvement on the business performance focusing on a full-scale change of organizational culture. TF OE drives business performance impact, organizational maturity, preparing for the future and growing our people, and provides regular business support.

ASML Twinscan factory is responsible for production and qualification of complex lithography systems (XT, NXT). These systems are built and delivered to customer requirement, in time and at the right quality. TF has adopted the Lean philosophy and ways of working. The Lean team drives and supports the Twinscan Factory (i.e. TF) in becoming Operational Excellent as a means to realize the TF Business goals. As the Manager of the Lean team you will be the trusted partner for the TF/OE business managers, guiding them through this major change transformation.

The Lean Manager is responsible for managing and steering the lean transformation team. As manager you create an environment in which employees feel engaged and grow to their full potential. You lead the activities of the group in line with corporate guidelines, (business)plans and strategy. This includes people management/development, competency ownership and development and implementation of policies-, year plans- and ways of working.

Role and Responsibilities

As Manager OE Lean you are responsible for ensuring that your team members have all the right knowledge and skills to successfully contribute to the TF lean transformation. In addition, you ensure that the OE department is successful in obtaining their goals. You will report to the TF Operational Excellent Business Improvement Manager.

Drive the transformation towards Operational Excellence of TF

  • Contribute to the strategy and business plan of the department and translate it to the annual operational plan for your group. You take ownership for the success of the department, beyond the scope of your own team.
  • Drive the development of the lean change agents to meet the long-term capacity and capability needs via a smart defined roadmap
  • Build a strong relationship with stakeholders and understand how the PLs can contribute to their needs. Structural ask for feedback (voice of the stakeholder) to stimulate continuous improvement mindset
  • Lead a team of Lean Change Agents and allocating them to the business priorities
  • Grow and nurture the TF lean champion network
  • Support the development of the OE system & Playbook
  • Actively use our standards (e.g. de Deployment Playbook) to implement OE methods and best practices
  • Be role model in adapting Lean principles and coach on Lean behavior (i.e. walk-the-talk)
  • Respectfully challenge the status quo and be a catalyst in changing (leadership) behaviors
  • Work closely together with OE competences Safety, Quality, OE deployment leads, Project Leads and Business Engineers

Education and experience

We are looking to hire a candidate that has approximately 5-8 years of experience in leading a Lean team within a Manufacturing with proven experiences in Lean Deployment, Change Management and facilitation/training/coaching experience:

  • You are master Degree level educated
  • You have 8+ years’ experience in Manufacturing environments (high and low volume)
  • You possess expert knowledge of continuous improvement/ Operational Excellence/ Lean, Safety and Quality
  • You have leadership experience within international/complex matrix organizations
  • You have experience in Program and Project Management
  • You have a proven track record in change management
  • You are fluent in English, verbal and written in addition to local language

Education:

  • Master’s degree, industrial engineering is a pre
  • Fundamental knowledge of Lean principles.
  • The position also requires experience in both project & change management skills. (i.e. event planning, execution & follow up).

Other information

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
