The team

Within our Netherlands HR Corporate Staff Departments (CSD) Team, an opportunity has become available for a HRBP. CSD includes Risk Management (CRO), Finance (CFO) and CEO functions such as Communications, Sustainability and HR. The NL team is responsible for domains in both the Domestic Bank Netherlands (our Netherlands business unit) as well as the Global Functions based in the Netherlands. The role reports directly to the HRBP Lead CSD NL. The role is part of the Netherlands CSD HR team based in Amsterdam, consisting of 7 HRBP's. Together with 2 other colleagues you will drive the HR agenda for the CRO Netherlands where you will be a focal point for key HR topics.


Roles & responsibilities
The HRBP works closely with business leaders and their management teams in shaping and implementing business strategy and the HR people agenda. Responsible for building a strong relationship with the business, the HRBP brings in-depth specialist knowledge in multiple HR areas of expertise. Equally, the HRBP has strong business acumen and works well in diverse international teams. Participating in management team meetings, the HRBP coaches and builds the capabilities of business leaders and their management teams on the people strategy. The HRBP also provides them with global people solutions that will support the business strategy. The HRBP plays a tactical role in implementing global people solutions, developed by the HR experts, within the business they are responsible for.

Key activities include, amongst others:

Partnering with business leaders to apply the CSD / CRO & people strategy, and building strategic workforce plans to support execution; Leading and supporting annual people processes such as, Step Up performance reviews, succession planning, talent reviews, action planning based on company surveys, and the promotion & compensation processes; Developing & coaching the leadership of the future using the global talent programs and other tools (e.g. Hogan, Spencer Stuart) ; Driving the diversity & inclusion-strategy for the dedicated business accounts in line with overall ING D&I strategy and ING D&I initiatives; Acting as a change agent during business transformations, take the lead in local requests for advice & WOR related activity; Being a trusted advisor on sensitive matters (Speak up & confidential casework); Closely collaborating with the Global CSD HR Business Partners on certain (global) processes to ensure synergies and alignment, where the needs of local & global are balanced; Contributing to the approach towards attracting, retaining and recognizing key talent The HRBP also feeds back the business needs and context to the HR experts, so they can create new or change existing people solutions. There will also be an opportunity to take on a point of contact role in an area of interest, such as learning, data, vitality, leadership, engagement etc within the HRBP NL team.

Affinity with numbers and data and a good understanding on how data analysis and reporting support building the people agenda. Demonstrated consultation skills to help the business in understanding their people needs and propose the right global solution to fit that need. Excellent interpersonal skills with a clear demonstration of influencing and challenging business leaders. Strong business acumen. Sensitivity to local employment legislation and regulations. COE experience in Performance & Reward / Talent & Learning or Employee Relations (Dutch Labor Law) is a pre. Deep understanding of the HR service delivery model (Ulrich model) and how collaboration across functions is key in delivering value to the business.
