The Department of History, European Studies & Religious Studies is searching for a Full Professor of European Studies, focusing on EU Law within the Humanities field.
Role Overview:
Context of the Role:
We are seeking individuals engaged in groundbreaking Law and Humanities research, with a strong background in interdisciplinary studies. The core research should address current topics such as the rule of law in Europe, Next Generation EU, reform of the EU asylum system, and the European Green Deal. The aim is to blend legal insights with cultural, historical, and political perspectives.
Teaching Responsibilities:
The primary teaching duties will be within the Law program of the European Studies BA, while also contributing to various levels of teaching within the department and the MA in European Policy.
Research Duties:
The successful candidate will lead research activities within the Amsterdam School for Regional, Transnational and European Studies, focusing on EU Law in the context of European Studies.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- PhD in Law or related fields
- Proven expertise in both Law and Humanities
