Role Overview:
Join our team as an Electrical Designer to develop, maintain, validate, and verify electrical components, (sub-) systems, and solutions for Interventional Guided Therapy Systems (fixed interventional X-ray systems). This role involves working within a multidisciplinary R&D team to apply research results and technological advancements. You will ensure our systems, including components, units, and third-party products, comply with international medical standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, verify, report, and document electronics and electrical components.
- Ensure design quality, reliability, and patient safety for medical products and systems developed by Philips and its suppliers.
- Define test strategies and plans, perform testing, and report to comply with Safety and EMC medical international standards and regulations.
- Validate and verify components delivered by suppliers.
- Cooperate effectively and efficiently with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Plan, drive progress, and report on assigned tasks.
- Align with other functions, including mechanical, mechatronics, norm compliance, test and validation, purchase, and quality.
- Support co-creation, maintenance, and execution of the electronics and electrical team's vision, mission, and strategy.
- Support continuous factory operations.
Team Environment:
You will be part of the Electronics Department of the Mechatronic Development Cluster within the IGT Fixed Systems R&D organization. Our open and multicultural team focuses on lifecycle management (LCM) and new product introductions (PDLM).
Skills and Experience:
- Master of Science or related technical degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience in a professional engineering environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in the medical, aviation, automotive, or another highly regulated industry.
- Experience in new product introduction and/or lifecycle development in the medical industry.
- Expertise in electronics system design, validation, verification, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of standards and regulations.
- Experience in design for quality and reliability (Six Sigma).
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive change.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in English with strong communication skills.
- Proactive, energetic, hands-on, and accurate.
- Experience working in SAFe is a plus.
