Summary

Professional Relationships

The Junior Demand Planner Seafood carries out his/her missions under the hierarchical authority of the BU Demand Planning manager. He/She carries out his/her functions within the framework of internal and external relationships.

Internal: He/she collaborates with all the company's services (mainly Supply Chain, Sales, Finance), but also with other Group's functions if required.

External: He/she can also have customer contacts, for example to support sales in co building customers forecast or to build collaborative planning in the future, this to increase accuracy of (external) forecast

Description of most important activities

Carry out missions as "(Junior) Demand Planner":

o Collect the information necessary for forecasts and analyze it and propose best forecast moving forward.

o Prepare and participate to "demand planning" meetings and decide collectively with the Sales Department on long-term forecasts.

o Monitor current actuals/order book vs forecast for the month and suggest actions and/or communications if too much differences.

o Work on continuous improvement to increase forecast accuracy and to ensure processes for demand planning are efficient as possible.

§ Compare latest customer Forecast uploads vs operational forecast.

§ Compare latest forecast vs Actual+ order book.

§ Review with sales exceptions.

§ Prepare view on changes vs last week in demand planning per technology.

§ Phase in- Phase out

§ Monitor contract vs forecast (fixed quantity contract vs forecast)

§ Signal renewal requirement to customer service

§ React towards issues

§ Define consensus forecast together with sales from statistical, last month and customer.

§ Risk and opportunities.

§ Report out changes in forecast.

§ Review statistical forecast vs internal forecast

§ Analysis of low forecast accuracy with high impact and come up with improvements.

Protect all products against malicious acts (intrusion, sabotage, etc.)

Responsibilities

The Demand Planner junior is responsible for

Supporting Sales to improve forecast accuracy by analyzing data and challenging.

Agreement with sales on final (monthly) consensus forecast.

Communication of changes into sales forecast and impact to other groups (Finance, Planning etc.).

He/She works closely with Supply and Metal Planners to ensure good flow consistency.

The Demand Planner is required to report any anomaly or malfunction to his or her line manager while being proactive in making suggestions.

Skills/Knowledge required:

Bachelor's in supply chain or business economics

1-4 years of experience in a demand and/or supply planning role

Advanced knowledge in Sales, Supply Chain and Production

Excellent written and oral skills inEnglish language

Able to challenge others, results and solution oriented

Self-managed and strong commitment to create a positive influence.

Change management skills
