Welcome to our team
Quality Control Operations (QCO) is a dynamic team that supports all Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) of Animal Health in Boxmeer with timely completion of all quality control tests. Quality Control Operations is responsible for all physical, chemical, biological, and microbiological tests on vaccines and pharmaceutical final products, antigens, raw materials, APIs, and primary packaging materials within Boxmeer.

Lab Specialist Quality Control – Biological
The Lab Specialist Quality Control plays a crucial role within the team and ensures that QC tests are carried out qualitatively according to the applicable GMP and safety guidelines, including trend analyses to identify improvement opportunities. We continuously strive to better organize and improve our processes. Enthusiastically utilizing various Lean/Six Sigma tools such as Tiers, kaizens, and root cause analysis. We are looking for an experienced Lab Specialist QC who is open to change, continuously improving, self-critical, and solution-oriented. Job Description
- Knowledge holder of various test techniques (micro)biological subject matter expert and QC test process knowledge. Assessing and/or releasing QC test results. Possibly limited execution of QC tests
- Identifying, analyzing, coordinating, and reporting (OOS) deviations and trends, including necessary cross-functional (lab) investigations according to the applicable GMP procedures
- Executing and/or leading corrective and preventive actions and improvement initiatives resulting from deviations
- Leading or participating in projects such as assay transfer/assay validation/calibration/lab equipment
- Point of contact for the QCO department regarding deviations, changes, audits, training, documentation (system documents, SOPs, and work instructions)
Your profile
- You have at least a completed HBO education, preferably in the biological laboratory field
- You have at least 5 years of work experience, preferably in a biological QC lab
- You have extensive experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and/or other quality systems
- You are preferably Yellow belt certified and/or have experience with Lean/Six Sigma tools such as problem-solving and/or kaizen where you also take the lead. You have extensive experience with data analysis and root cause investigation of deviations
- You preferably have experience with SAP/LIMS and electronic data processing in QC test systems
- You are accurate and quality-oriented, and demonstrate problem-solving skills
- You are a team player who likes to take initiative and serve as an example for others
- You are able to maintain an overview, prioritize, and where necessary, identify/escalate and act proactively in a complex environment
- You have excellent communication and social skills
- You have good verbal and written expression skills (technical writing) in English and Dutch
- You are willing to enter into an employment contract of at least 0.8 FTE
