SALES MANAGER NORDICS (BENELUX & SCANDI)

We're looking for an outstanding Sales Manager to join our Timberland team based in Amsterdam to manager the wholesale team in the Nordic region (Benelux and Scandinavia).

Let's talk about the role

In this role as a Sales Manager Nordics (Benelux & Scandi) located in The Netherlands, you will be required to maintain and grow sales through existing distribution through our well-established Sales Agencies in Finland and Denmark (incl Iceland and Greenland), while directly managing the markets of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg Sweden and Norway.

How you'll make a difference

  • Effectively manage, the Nordics team to deliver the sales and profit targets for the Nordics market.
  • Maintain and further develop relationships with key accounts at head office level. Understand their business needs and requirements, to drive sales growth of the brand within the market.
  • Drive the next phase of growth through establishing new distribution in the premium lifestyle space through high end department stores, premium online accounts and relevant multi-door/independent regional stores.
  • Develop a 3-year business plan for the Nordic market including strategic account plans for key accounts and territories along with the new distribution plan for the premium lifestyle space.
  • Conduct regular business reviews to the key accounts and sales teams and provide guidance for the range selection so that the optimum range is always stocked.
  • Effectively negotiate and oversee, (with the approval of your manager) the terms and pricing for all accounts in market, in order to maximise VF's margin requirements.
  • Provide accurate pre-book and replenishment forecasts.
  • Obtain and analyse regular sell through information for all key accounts to identify risks and opportunity for the account base and drive seasonal sales. Ensure this information is summarised and communicated to the wider team on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure that the brand purpose and seasonal product stories are communicated on-line and in-store. Ensure this is consistent with the global brand messaging and that the brand has a high level of visibility within all appropriate accounts.
  • Complete all administration accurately, on time and to a high standard. Ensure the comprehensive account profiles are completed for all Key accounts and that records are kept up to date for all accounts.

What makes you the perfect Sales Manager

  • Experience: Successful proven Sales Management with Key Account management expertise, experience with a premium life-style or footwear brand. Connections with the key accounts in high end department store and premium lifestyle is a pre-requisite.
  • Results Driven; Proven in delivering results through the effective management of a team and individually.
  • Leadership: Experience in managing direct and indirect teams. An individual with high emotional intelligence, that has the ability to coach, mentor and effectively develop a team to deliver results. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence others by their positive and effective actions.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong excel skills with high awareness of key sell through metrics and KPI's. (Margins, profitability and all measurements of performance, i.e. Stock-turn, ROS, Weeks cover, etc.)

Other skills: Great motivator who can positively challenge and realise the brand potential to purposefully grow Timberland in the Nordic region through the effective growth of existing accounts and development of new distribution. You think on your feet and tackle problems head on with the confidence and ability to make decisions and work independently when required.
