Purpose of Role

The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for supporting/maintaining corporate goals by execution of proper credit risk management, analysis and reporting using best practices and procedures for overall credit risk management.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following as additional roles and/or focus will be needed as the company and department continues to grow and evolve.

Your Impact
  • Process bank & trade references, gather credit agency reports, request financials statements from customers, schedule, and lead calls with customers' senior management as needed.
  • Use Blocked Order Report and partner with A/R to identify customers that need attention, completing reviews for customers that require additional credit and reporting on blocked order KPIs.
  • Identify and leverage opportunities to mitigate risk using securities, including but not limited to Letters of Credit, UCC filings, Trade Insurance, and/or Guaranties.
  • Maintain credit BP master data to accurately reflect credit risk, information gathered, review cadence, and credit checks of customers in portfolio.
  • Support change management by proposing opportunities to improve systems, identifying defects, as well as testing and validating system changes.
  • Complete trade reference requests received by UA
  • Partner with cross functional teams to support Revenue targets while appropriately mitigating risk.
  • Support credit management processes by documenting, reviewing, and refining process documentation, proposing ways to improve team efficiency.
  • Process new customer applications for all sales channels within EMEA, to determine customers' credit worthiness and risk potential.
  • Partner with Sales Team to monitor sales forecasts and assess potential impact to Accounts Receivable to determine credit limit utilization and requirements.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
  • Work with alternative methods of risk protection by use of Letters of Credit, UCC filings, Trade Insurance and/or guarantees.
  • Review, recommend and/or assign credit limits for all existing customer accounts on an as needed basis.
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable to review daily orders on hold for reasons such as delinquent balances, balances exceeding credit limits, etc. and determine whether orders can be released, or consequently set expectations as to what action items are necessary to resume shipping.
  • Monitor & analyze breaking news & earnings updates to keep appropriate business partners and leadership aware of any changes in risk in our portfolio.
  • Peer with Sr manager CFS EMEA, as well as with the manager AR and Manager cash apps and disputes in EMEA to discuss issues, set goals and seek for improvements in the areas.
Qualifications
  • 2-year college degree with preferable concentration in an Accounting/Finance related field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience and increasing responsibility in a credit, accounts receivables, finance, and/or accounting role.
  • Exceptional understanding of financial statements and ratios to determine credit risk and recommend credit limit changes.
  • Understanding of A/R, billing, claims & chargebacks, and credit roles and responsibilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Intermediate experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
  • SAP and High Radius experience strongly preferred, experience with data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate financial accounting systems.
  • Must exhibit a professional telephone manner and possess exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledgeable in the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Credit Billing Act, as well as Federal Bankruptcy Laws.
  • Reducing credit risk while maximizing sales for the EMEA EUROPE region.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, interacting with all levels of management internally and externally.
  • Quantitative thinking, with the ability to take into consideration many variables to interpret, analyze, recommend and/or approve credit limits, risk categorizations, and mitigate of such risk to the business.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Needs to be able to work as part of a team and independently as a self-starter to interact with all levels of management and client contacts, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, analyze, and report findings on general financial statements, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
