Teacher of Mathematics in English
(1 FTE)
’Working in the ESH mathematics department, means you will join a multicultural team, which comprises of 15 passionate teachers across four language sections. We value team work and a culture of collaborative working where we as teachers are lifelong learners. Our students are generally actively engaged in the classroom, helpful and has a positive attitude. We are looking for a teacher whom has an eye to not only encourage our gifted and talented learners to go beyond the classroom scope, but also at the same time value the educational path of all the students in the classroom. Requirements
- Master's degree in teaching Mathematics OR
- For applicants from the UK, A completed PGCE, and QTS plus successful completion of the NQT induction year
- Fully qualified teacher status for Secondary Education in the country the qualification is obtained. Your teaching qualification must meet the standards required by the Dutch Education Authorities (DUO) (First-degree teaching/ Eerste graads)
- Excellent command of the English language (C2 level)
Recommendations
- Experience in teaching the age group 11-18
- Experience meeting the individual needs of students
- Experience working with EAL students
- Experience international or intercultural education
- Good ICT skills and an understanding of ICT use in an educational context
- Experience teaching Mathematics to EB, IB, or GCE A levels
- Willingness to be involved in extra-curricular activities
- Knowledge of other EU languages is an advantage

- An appointment based on the Dutch teachers' collective labour agreement for secondary education (CAO VO) on the relevant pay scale. The specific step in the scale depends on relevant background and experience
