Job Description: Warehouse Supervisor

As a Senior Supervisor, you are responsible for coordinating an efficient operation of the warehouse and leading a team of 25 to 35 employees. Your task is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of processes through coaching, implementing improvement projects (such as Kaizen and 5S), and ensuring adherence to procedures. You work closely with the Shift or Warehouse Manager and other departments to coordinate daily operations. In the absence of your manager, you take on their role. Additionally, you are responsible for staffing, monitoring KPIs, and reporting any deviations.

Key Responsibilities:


• Coordinate an efficient operation of the department/shift and lead a team of 25 to 35 employees.


• Advise management on efficiency, effectiveness, and process management.


• Implement assigned projects focused on the department or team.


• Coach and guide employees, including determining their training needs.


• Implement process improvements, including Kaizen, 5S, and other processes.


• Substitute the direct manager in their absence.


• Ensure documentation and compliance with procedures.


• Plan and coordinate labor in line with forecasts and objectives.


• Monitor daily KPIs, quality metrics, timecard errors, and productivity administration.


• Ensure follow-up of CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and 5C's.


• Responsible for personnel meetings such as PMP, absence meetings, and corrective conversations.


• Collaborate with all operational departments for smooth workflows and maximum synergy.


• Responsible for 5S and QEHS within the department.


• Log and follow up on IT tickets to resolve issues.

Candidate Requirements:


• Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in a supervisory role.


• Experience working with warehouse and logistics systems.


• Proficient in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and external parties.


• Experience coaching and guiding employees.


• Experience with staff planning and financial insight.


• Skills in process thinking and turning improvements into concrete actions.


• Flexible working hours, with the willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
