What will you be doing?
As Head of Sales, you are responsible for building, leading, and guiding the Sales team to identify new business opportunities and achieve sales targets within set deadlines and budgets. You will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of sales and development activities. This includes directly managing the Sales team and ensuring that the team has the right resources and training to achieve sales targets. You will monitor relevant processes and optimize them where necessary. Additionally, you will serve as a link between sales and product management to ensure that customer feedback is properly addressed and to shape the proposition of new products to customers. Finally, you will ensure that all sales processes are successfully completed, achieving the set targets and managing the sales budgets effectively.
What do you bring?
- You have at least 5 years of work experience in a similar management role;
- A relevant MSc degree, such as Mechanical Engineering, preferably supplemented with a degree in Sales and Marketing;
- At least ten years of experience in Sales & Marketing in a B2B market;
- You have a successful track record in selling a technical (service) proposition;
- Preferably, you have experience in selling worldwide to engineering innovation centers of automotive OEMs (such as BMW, Volvo, and Hyundai) and tier-1 automotive suppliers;
- Strong understanding of contractual structures and the ability to negotiate;
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Dutch; German and/or other languages are a plus.
