Program Leader & Faculty Position (Postgraduate Programs) University of Europe - Amsterdam

We invite applications who are accomplished academic leaders to join our institution as Program Lead for Postgraduate Programs. This dual-role combines academic leadership with teaching responsibilities, offering an exciting opportunity to shape educational excellence at our Amsterdam campus.

The successful candidate will provide strategic direction and operational oversight of our academic programs while contributing to our teaching faculty. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining academic quality, driving program development, and ensuring educational excellence across the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic leadership and program coordination
  • Strategic program development and oversight
  • Implementation of Curriculum
  • Teaching and academic delivery
  • Quality assurance and program enhancement

Key Activities & Responsibilities:

1. Program Leadership and Implementation

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Postgraduate Programs within the designated faculty
  • Develop and implement plans for program enhancement, growth, and academic excellence
  • Input into preparation of the program, including class schedules and assign lecturers

2. Curriculum Development and maintenance

  • Drive the development, review, and enhancement of curriculum content and delivery methods
  • Ensure alignment with industry standards, accreditation requirements, and the needs of students and employers

3. Teaching and Instruction

  • Ensure high-quality teaching and instruction in relevant modules/subjects within the program
  • Foster an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and achievement
  • Carry a negotiated teaching load

4. Support to staff management

  • Recruit, develop, and support faculty members within the program
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to faculty in teaching methodologies, curriculum design, and professional development

5. Student Support

  • Provide academic and pastoral support to students within the program
  • Monitor student progress, identify areas for intervention or support, and implement strategies to enhance student retention and success

6. Quality Assurance

  • Ensure the quality and integrity of academic programs through regular assessment, evaluation, and review cycles. Adherence to didactical principles
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and data
  • Weave regulatory and program accreditation standards into daily practices

Your Profile:

  • Preferable doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Minimum of a Masters or MBA
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in academic administration, as a Program or Course Leader or in a related role
  • Proven teaching excellence and expertise in the designated program areas
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. You must be good with people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders.
  • A resilient multi-focused individual
  • BKE/SKE is a plus

Conditions
