Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced Freelance IT Project Manager to manage special, short-term IT projects for our diverse clientele. This role offers the chance to lead transformative IT initiatives in a fast-paced, innovative environment, ensuring impactful results for our clients in highly sensitive and regulated domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design and implementation of software and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and best practices in security and data protection.
- Manage the full lifecycle of ICT projects, utilizing agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment, collaboration, and buy-in for project objectives.
- Coordinate multiple projects within programs, managing interdependencies to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
- Facilitate business change initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption and integration into client operations.
- Supervise project teams, allocating resources, and ensuring high-quality outcomes within timelines and budgets.
- Lead procurement activities for software, hardware, and services, adhering to compliance standards and ensuring value for money.
- Monitor and report on project financial performance, risks, and variances to senior stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent communication of project progress, risks, and solutions through comprehensive status reporting.
Requirements
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible to work in the EU and hold valid documentation.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written).
Professional Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience as an IT Project Manager, managing large-scale ICT projects.
- Proven track record in agile delivery within regulated environments and managing interdependent projects across multiple disciplines.
- Experience in big data software projects and procurement processes within the ICT sector.
- Knowledge & Certifications:
- Strong knowledge of program management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Certification in project management methodologies such as PgMP, PMP, MSP, or PRINCE2.
- Deep understanding of strategic planning, emerging technologies, and data protection principles.
Skills and Competencies:
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
