We are looking for a Senior Azure Data Architect for a 12 month contract job opportunity working onsite in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Duration: 12 months + Extensions

Hourly Rate: €70-€80 (Gross)

Location: Onsite - Amsterdam Netherlands

As a Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future landscape of data utilization within ICS. Your expertise in Azure architecture or similar hyper-scaler cloud platforms will be essential as you design and implement robust, scalable data solutions.

You'll leverage Databricks or equivalent data engineering platforms to streamline data processing and analytics, ensuring our systems are both efficient and forward-thinking.

Your enthusiasm for emerging technologies like Microsoft Fabric, serverless architectures etc. will drive innovation within our data integration processes, fostering agile and interconnected data environments. As a Generative Al practitioner, you will play a transformative role in advancing our data initiatives, exploring new methodologies for data analysis and insight generation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the bank-wide data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Advocate for data lakehouse architecture and promote its values.
  • Define and establish data management KPIs, OKRS, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting integration, warehousing, and analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the central data office and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Author and maintain architectural documents like HLD, LLD, DFD, and strategy papers.
  • Evaluate and recommend data management technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data architecture and management.
  • Simplify and socialize data governance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to establish roles and responsibilities across central and domain teams.
  • Collaborate with IT, business units, and external partners to ensure data architecture aligns with business needs.
  • Communicate complex data concepts and strategies to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor and optimize data architecture performance, scalability, and efficiency.
