Business Development Manager – Netherlands
For over 50 years, this pioneering business have been a leading specialist in the distribution of premium avocados and mangoes, across 20+ countries. From farming and picking to ripening and distribution, they manage the entire production cycle, ensuring the highest quality fruit reaches the world's leading supermarkets and grocery accounts. As a forward-thinking company with a strong heritage, they continue to "grow" and expand their global footprint, delivering fresh produce that meets the demands of their international partners.
The Opportunity: We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development
Manager to join their team in the Netherlands. As they continue to expand our operations, this role presents an exciting opportunity to play a key part in driving the growth of their business and establishing new partnerships in the fresh produce sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives to increase market share and brand recognition within the European market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities with key supermarkets, grocery chains, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the production, logistics, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of customer requirements.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to ensure the company remains a market leader.
- Identify new markets and explore international expansion opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with potential customers.
- Report to senior management with regular updates on market performance, sales pipeline, and business development initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, ideally within the fresh produce, FMCG, or agricultural sectors.
- Strong network within the supermarket and grocery retail industry across Europe.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to sales and growth.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of the avocado and mango industries is highly desirable, but not essential.
