You will combine deep financial understanding with strong business partnering skills—helping us achieve our ambition to become Europe's leading digital holiday expert.Location: Rotterdam (Hybrid – 50% in office)Start Date: February/ March 2026Availability: FulltimeReports to: Head of Financial Planning & ReportingYour impactRoleAs a Senior Financial & Commercial Controller, you take the lead in financial controlling with a strong focus on commercial performance and sustainability-related activities. You act as a key sparring partner for the business and play an important role in shaping Sunweb Group's strategy by:Delivering monthly analysis of financial resultsProviding clear gross margin insights and ensuring accurate financial reportingContributing to the annual budget and 3-year strategic planning cyclePreparing performance reporting for the Supervisory Board, including ESG metricsYour work provides transparent reporting, sharp insights, and high-quality recommendations that support data-driven decision-making across Sunweb Group.What You'll DoFinancial ControlPerform monthly analysis of results, with a specific focus on commercial activitiesReview actuals and post journal entries related to gross marginConduct deep-dive analyses on key topics such as flight and upsell resultsSupport automation and process improvements within financial controlCommercial ControlPrepare and review slides for the monthly Supervisory Board reportPartner with commercial teams to provide insights on deep-dive topicsSupport sustainability (ESG) reportingContribute to budget, strategic planning, and forecasting processesWhat You BringA Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field5–8 years of progressive experience in (financial) ControllingSolid accounting knowledge (GAAP expertise not required)Fluency in English with strong business writing skillsExperience with sustainability/ESG reporting is a plusExperience with Excel, PowerBI and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) is considered a plusYour strengthsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to create clear, insightful analyses and financial modelsProactive, results-driven, and comfortable working independentlyStrong stakeholder management and communication abilitiesPassion for finance and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality workLet us introduce Sunweb GroupSunweb Group is one of Europe's largest online travel agencies, sending over 1.3 million holidaymakers annually to unforgettable destinations.
