The Finance Transformation Office is the custodian of the overarching Finance mission and vision. It shapes and drives the finance transformation by translating their strategic priorities into a clear defined end-state, roadmap and change portfolio. The portfolio managers are managing the change portfolio and the transformation leads are executing selected strategic initiatives. Change and communication managers safeguard the momentum and aligned communication throughout ASML and Finance.

The Portfolio Management team is orchestrating the transformation agenda and governance the initiation and the delivery of the change portfolio. It creates transparency, secures controls and coordinates decision making. When required trade-off conversation(s) in case of scarcity (prioritization) is facilitated.  

To support this we cascade ASML’s methodologies, tools and techniques to the relevant users.

Role and Responsibilities

As Portfolio Manager you are responsible for managing the Finance change portfolio:

  • Evaluating and prioritizing change opportunities within the Finance portfolio, ensuring they align with both corporate and sector goals. Focus is on mitigating risks while striving to maximize returns

  • Responsible for the annual and quarterly portfolio rebalancing process

  • Preparing and facilitating progress reviews and key decision meetings and actively follow-up on agreements made during these meetings

  • Driving accurate and up-to-date status reporting on all projects in our change portfolio

  • Being seen as the trusted ‘advisor’ of the Portfolio Management means & methods

  • Guiding and support project teams with different backgrounds and levels of maturity

  • Quality controls to secure that the deployed means & methods are properly being used by the project leaders, epic owner and project management officers

  • Bringing portfolio management to the next level in close alignment with the different stakeholders. Initiates, drives and executes continuous improvement projects

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree, preferably in the field of Finance & Accounting and (agile) project management certified.

  • At least 10+ years of working experience as portfolio manager or program manager in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment

Skills

  • Excellent communicator, being able to influence without hierarchical power

  • Ability to manage a large and diverse range of stakeholders, to balance the interest of multiple stakeholders and act fairly despite conflicting demands of stakeholders

  • Maintains personal effectiveness and people focus under pressure, high speed of change and uncertainty

  • Ability to guide, coach and advise at operational, tactical and strategic level to effect sustainable change and improving the portfolio, program and project and process maturity level of the organization

  • Anticipates future trends and implications accurately

  • Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently

  • Hands-on mentality, takes ownership and gets things done

Other information

This role is positioned within the Finance Transformation Office and reports to Head of Portfolio Management. This is a full-time position (40 hours).
