You'll be at the forefront of developing and transferring downstream processes (DSP) for mRNA/LNP and recombinant proteins in a GMP-regulated environment.

Job Overview:
As Team Lead of Bioprocess Development, you will oversee the design, optimization, and transfer of DSP processes for clients
This involves collaborating with production teams to ensure smooth integration of developed processes while maintaining compliance and reproducibility.
As such, strong technical skills, process development experience, and excellent communication abilities are fundamental.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Development: Design and optimize downstream purification techniques (e.g., affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography) for mRNA, LNPs, and recombinant proteins.
- Process Transfer: Facilitate the transfer of processes to GMP teams, ensuring alignment with scale up and regulatory standards.
- Small Scale Testing: Execute laboratory scale runs and ensure alignment with GMP and scale up requirements.
- GMP Production Support: Collaborate with production teams to maintain process consistency and compliance.
- Project Management: Oversee customer projects, providing technical support and maintaining strong communication.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement innovations to enhance efficiency and scalability of downstream workflows.
Qualifications Required:
- Education: Master's or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Process Engineering, Bioprocess Design or a related field (PhD preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience: Several years of hands on experience in protein purification, chromatography, ultrafiltration, or working with nucleic acids and lipid nanoparticles. Experience in GMP environments is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of downstream technologies such as affinity chromatography, ion exchange chromatography (IEC), ultrafiltration/diafiltration (UF/DF), tangential flow filtration (TFF), and viral clearance techniques.
- Soft Skills: Detail oriented, quality conscious work approach with excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal). Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
