As Lead Engineer FEM your key responsibilities will include
  • FEM Analysis Deliverables: Ensure timely completion of all FEM analysis deliverables in the Project Documents and Activity List (PDAL)
  • Team Supervision: Lead a team of approximately 10 FTE across 4 locations, overseeing modeling, meshing, analysis, post-processing, reporting, and implementation
  • Work Allocation: Collaborate with the Lead Structures and Lead Structural Analysis to prioritize and sequence work effectively
  • Data Management: Manage and communicate data flow internally and externally
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality of all FEM deliverables
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with project and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver optimal client solutions
  • Client and Class Coordination: Liaise with Class and clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction
  • Engineering Excellence: Deliver high-quality engineering work within timeframes and budgets, adhering to quality standards
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and client specifications
Functie-eisen
  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in ship structures, gained in the shipbuilding and/or offshore industry
  • Proven experience with ANSYS (preferably APDL) Mechanical (implicit) is required
  • Experience with LS-DYNA (explicit) is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with ship class calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000 is a plus
  • Good command of the Dutch English language both written and verbal
  • Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects
