As Lead Engineer FEM your key responsibilities will include:
FEM Analysis Deliverables: Ensure timely completion of all FEM analysis deliverables in the Project Documents and Activity List (PDAL).
Team Supervision: Lead a team of approximately 10 FTE across 4 locations, overseeing modeling, meshing, analysis, post-processing, reporting, and implementation.
Work Allocation: Collaborate with the Lead Structures and Lead Structural Analysis to prioritize and sequence work effectively.
Data Management: Manage and communicate data flow internally and externally.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality of all FEM deliverables.
Team Coordination: Coordinate with project and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver optimal client solutions.
Engineering Excellence: Deliver high-quality engineering work within timeframes and budgets, adhering to quality standards.
To excel as Lead FEM, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:
~ Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
~ Over 5 years of relevant experience in ship structures, gained in the shipbuilding and/or offshore industry.
~ Familiarity with ship class calculations and tools such as DNV-GL Nauticus Hull, LR-SSC, or BV MARS2000 is a plus.
~Good command of the Dutch English language both written and verbal.
~ Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
Flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.
