Radisson Hotel & Suites Amsterdam South has 227 suites and rooms and opened in April 2021. We want to appeal to both transient and longer-staying travellers visiting the Dutch capital. Each of the studio’s, one-bed and two-bed apartments has its own fully equipped kitchen. It is up to us to make them feel at home with our family of associates All rooms are suites with more living and working space than you would find in an any other hotel room. Our guests are looking for a home away from home and you know better than anyone else how to make them experience exactly that For this great property we need to have a Guest Service Agent with the real YES, I CAN - attitude.

For this function we would like you to:

  • EU- National
  • A valid residence and working permit for the Netherlands is required
  • Have excellent communication skills in English. A low level of Dutch is required as well.
  • Have previous experience working with Opera.
  • Not afraid to make decisions independently and in cooperation with the Operations Manager.
  • Customer focused “Yes I Can’’-mentality.
  • Passionate about people and teamwork.
  • Be a true team leader.
  • Willing to work different shifts, including weekends & holidays

As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for the shifts at the Front Office of the Radisson Amsterdam South Hotel. Job wise you are expected to:

  • Assist our Front Office Manager by being the best welcome host you can be. It’s vital that our guests are warmly welcomed, as you read and respond appropriately to what they want and need.
  • Act as a role model for your team members, as you plan, organize, and assign work. You train, inspire and motivate your team to make sure they meet our main goal, happy guests
  • Be an excellent problem solver and do not shy away from a challenge.
  • Have great OPERA knowledge.
  • Assist guests in the desirable, friendly, courteous, and professional manner with registration and check out, ensuring that any special requirements are noted and passed to the appropriate department.
  • Direct the day-to-day activities of your team; plan, organise and assign work and advise your team of formal policies and procedures.
  • Ensure your department rolls out and adheres to Radisson standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with appropriately taking on the authority to resolve any concerns and requests raised and discuss accordingly with the operations manager if needed.
  • Monitor all guest accounts ensuring that charges posted are correct and that supporting documentation is readily available.
  • Manage the operation of the hotel switchboard to the company standard, ensuring that all messages are correctly handled.
