Let me introduce myself: my name is Isabel and I work as HR Senior Manager for 6 Hotels in Europe. Pestana Amsterdam is a beautiful monumental hotel located alongside the Amstel River, and I am looking for a passionate colleague to join our team.

Pestana Hotel Group is the largest multinational group of Portuguese origin in the tourism industry. It is currently present in the European, American and African continents, with more than 100 hotels divided over four brands: Pestana Hotels & Resorts, Pestana Collection Hotels, Pestana Pousadas de Portugal and Pestana CR7 Lifestyle Hotels, the last one being a valuable partnership with Portuguese football player Cristiano Ronaldo.

Pestana Amsterdam Riverside is part of the Pestana Collection Hotels. Housed in a pair of 19th century Neo-Renaissance-style buildings and two modern annexes, the hotel has a total of 154 elegant guestrooms and suites; our partnership with the Cocoon Wellness Spa offers our guests one of the largest indoor swimming pools in Amsterdam, a well-equipped fitness center, and a comprehensive menu of holistic treatments; the restaurant and bar Archive by Pestana are opened daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a Portuguese inspired menu; and our 8 meeting rooms allow us to host events up to 200 people. Pestana Amsterdam Riverside Hotel is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). The HRBP is focused on implementing the human resources strategy for recruitment, onboarding, integration, performance, and talent policies for each team/individual on a local level.

What will you be doing?

  • Manage recruitment and hiring processes, including the announcement of job vacancies on different channels, screening CVs and conducting screening interviews, along with validating the selected candidates and submiting admission proposals.
  • Manage the contractual agreements of employment.
  • Attend recruitment events in hotel schools and universities, employability events, organizing roadshows and liaison with universities and temporary work agencies.
  • Monitor the onboarding process by ensuring that all procedures follow local legislation and preparing the appropriate induction plan.
  • Control and monitor the onboarding, offboarding, and cross boarding processes as well as annual holidays plans.
  • Conduct exit interviews on offboards.
  • Control absences, overtime, holidays, subsidies, commissions, pay-out items for BPO.
  • Perform salary processing of the unit.
  • Connect with service providers according the local geography.
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual results within HR KPIs (GOP, Outsourcing, Overtime, etc).
  • Organize teambuilding activities and special events

  • Ideally have completed HBO education in the field of Hospitality, Management or Human Resources
  • Are fluent in English, Dutch is not mandatory but preferred
  • Have knowledge of Dutch Labour Law

  • Have a passion for Hospitality
  • Have prior experience in a similar position
  • Are hands-on and people-oriented
