I am currently working with a forward-thinking derivatives exchange platform dedicated to streamlining crypto options, futures, and perpetuals trading. Their mission is to eliminate obstacles between traders and their transactions, offering linear contracts and stablecoin settlement to enhance accessibility and efficiency. With a focus on empowering individual traders through low fees, portfolio margin, and institutional-grade connectivity, they are poised to redefine the derivatives trading landscape. Backed by a consortium of industry leaders, including prominent names in cryptocurrency and finance like: Bitfinex, Bitstamp, Flow Traders, IMC, QCP and Wintermute, they are at the forefront of innovation in the derivatives market.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining our cutting-edge derivatives trading platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies, including Rust, and to contribute to the innovation of our platform's architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain our derivatives trading platform.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Rust.
  • Utilize your analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges and optimize trading algorithms.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new features and enhancements to improve user experience and platform performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new functionalities.
  • Proactively identify and address technical issues and bottlenecks to ensure the stability and reliability of the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced programming skills in Rust.
  • Strong understanding of financial mathematics and derivatives trading concepts.
  • Experience in a Linux environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes is highly desired.
  • Knowledge of advanced PostgreSQL concepts is a plus.
  • Experience with derivatives trading or trading in general is advantageous.
  • Passion for cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is a plus.
  • Experience with high-performance, low-latency systems is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Additional Qualities (Optional):

  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native systems.
  • Proficiency in Python, Jupyter Notebook, and Grafana stack.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
