Director of Business Intelligence - Group Supply Chain Management (Tax free GCC)

As the Director of Business Intelligence (BI) and (DA) for Group the Supply Chain Management (SCM), you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust BI & DA strategy. This position requires an expertise in data analytics, extensive experience in BI, to provide insight and aiding in business decisions making

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with various stakeholders, identifying and interpreting SCM business needs and responding with BI solutions;

• Lead end-to-end project delivery and teams aimed at identifying, analyzing, developing and implemented business intelligence metrics;

• Gathering required data and performing/’/ data analysis to support business needs. Anticipate future and ongoing needs;

• Ad hoc business reporting and analysis as needed;

• Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations.

• Applies complex analytics to enable optimized cost savings and ensure an adequate SC

• Gain a deep understanding of the underlying department strategies and value drivers through working closely with the businesses ;

• Assuring the coordination and management across multiple business groups to source accurate, efficient and relevant data;

• Proactively identify business challenges and opportunities through data analysis, and work with business leaders to find strategic solutions;

• Assist in the preparation of presentations to executives and department leads;

• Ensure data integrity across all performance-based metrics and reporting;

• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to understand their problems and deliver data-driven solutions;

• Ensure the accuracy and the integrity of the data by performing detailed data exploration and validation to identify trends, tendencies and anomalies;

• Proven ability to audit outcomes and structure processes to ensure data accuracy;

• Develop, measure, and report on Key Performance Indicators for major company initiatives and departments;

1. BI Strategy and Implementation:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy aligned with Group SCM goals and organizational objectives.

- Oversee the design and implementation of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

- Drive the adoption of BI best practices throughout the Group SCM function.

- Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses.

2. Data Governance and Quality:

- Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

- Collaborate with IT and data management teams to maintain a high standard of data quality.

- Implement data cleansing and validation processes as needed.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with cross-functional teams within the Group to collect data and deliver actionable insights.

- Collaborate with senior leadership to align BI initiatives with overall business strategies.

4. Emerging Technologies and Trends:

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the BI and analytics space.

- Evaluate and recommend new tools, methodologies, and data sources to enhance BI capabilities.

5. Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead a team of BI professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a data-driven culture within the organization.

- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the BI skill set of the team.

- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in BI and data analytics roles, preferably within the defense or aerospace industry.

- Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.

- Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
