In our state-of-art engine development center we develop engine families for future regulations, for DAF, Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks. The Engine Integration department is responsible for definition, development and calibration of engine and after treatment families towards performance and regulatory requirements. The department is split into 9 groups. The Engine Integration Development department holds a vacancy for a Project Lead Engineer. Functieomschrijving Technical team player who takes the lead in our engine and after treatment development Job description As a Performance Lead Engineer at DAF Trucks, you will spearhead engine and aftertreatment integration projects, applying technical expertise and leadership within PACCAR Global Engines. This role involves prioritizing, planning, and overseeing simulation and testing activities, as well as analyzing and reporting results to management. Key responsibilities include ensuring optimal fuel economy, emissions, aftertreatment performance, durability, reliability, and diagnostic robustness, while collaborating closely with global teams and stakeholders. Your responsibilities: Prioritize and plan definition, simulation and test activities for all groups within the Engine Integration department, in close cooperation with the respective supervisors and line lead engineers; Analyze, summarize, review, and report out test and analysis results to (Project) Management; Initiate monitoring for performance status and development, and project progress; Take ownership of key performance indicators such as fuel economy, emissions, durability, reliability, and diagnostic robustness for your project(s). Daily activities are in close cooperation with Global Engine Development teams in Eindhoven and North America, and other PACCAR stakeholders (Embedded Engineering, Production Engineering, After Sales, Compliance, etc.). In this role, you report to the Engineering Manager Engine Integration Development, and align on daily activities with all Engine Integration groups and the Project Core Team(s). Functie-eisen Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering; At least 5 years of relevant project (lead) engineer working experience; Basic knowledge of engine, aftertreatment, and on-board diagnostics; Good English skills are mandatory; Experience with working in multidisciplinary teams is preferable. Primary employment conditions 12 times a monthly salary based on experience (Up to: €7000 gross per month) 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries Contract form Minimum one-year contract, with the aim of transitioning to an indefinite contract You will always receive 100% of your salary during your employment contract Secondary conditions Pension scheme (pension accrual from day 1) Annual net €3500,- training budget Net €750,- to set up your home workplace The possibility of a Yacht bonus or, if applicable to our client, a year-end bonus or 13th-month payment Opportunity for referral bonuses25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours Travel expense reimbursement Good and personal guidance with one contact person from Yacht, to be filled in according to your preferences.
