Position: Warehouse Launch Director - Contract Logistics

Job Description:

As the Warehouse Launch Director for our contract logistics division, for a logistics service provider, you will be responsible for leading and optimizing all aspects of our warehousing and contract logistics solutions. Leveraging your extensive experience in logistics operations, you will drive efficiency, quality, and profitability while ensuring exceptional service delivery to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Operations Leadership : Provide strategic direction and leadership to the operations team, overseeing all aspects of warehousing and contract logistics operations.
• Process Optimization : Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within the warehousing and logistics operations, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Client Relationship Management : Serve as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their logistics requirements and ensuring that our solutions meet their needs effectively.
• Performance Management : Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor and evaluate the performance of warehousing and logistics operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Team Development : Mentor and develop the operations team, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Resource Allocation : Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and facilities, to ensure optimal utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• Health, Safety, and Compliance : Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements in all warehousing and logistics operations, maintaining a safe and secure working environment for employees and assets.
• Vendor and Partner Management : Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners, negotiating contracts and agreements to optimize service levels and costs.
• Technology Integration : Drive the integration and adoption of technology solutions to streamline operations, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making processes.
• Budget Management : Develop and manage the operations budget, ensuring that expenditures are within budgetary constraints while maximizing ROI and profitability.
