Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Frontend Developer at BandenConcurrent. The Senior Frontend Developer will be responsible for developing and optimizing the user-facing aspects of our online platforms, with a primary focus on high-quality, reusable components and scalable front-end architecture.

We are looking for an experienced developer who is passionate about code quality, maintainability, and elegant design. You will have the opportunity to help define and implement our design system, ensuring consistency across our product. This is an ideal role for someone who takes pride in building polished, scalable UI components and understands the importance of attention to detail.

While the role is based in the Amsterdam Area, some remote work is allowed, providing flexibility in work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable front-end components for our e-commerce platform.
    • Implement and help maintain a structured design system, ensuring consistency and efficiency across the platform.
      • Collaborate with designers and product teams to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs.|
        • Tackle situations where designs are incomplete by making informed, consistent decisions to fill in gaps.
          • Maintain a clean and organized codebase, promoting best practices in front-end development.
            • Contribute to front-end architecture decisions to ensure our platform is reliable and scalable.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive front-End Development experience: proven experience in building and maintaining complex web applications, ideally in a senior role.
    • Experience in responsive web design: strong skills in creating responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
      • Experience with Svelte: experience with Svelte is a plus, but experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and a willingness to learn new technologies is highly valued.
        • Passion for code quality: deep commitment to writing clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, with a strong focus on best practices.
          • Experience with design systems: proven track record of implementing and maintaining design systems or reusable component libraries.
            • Proficiency in back-end concepts: ability to understand how front-end interacts with back-end services. Full-stack experience is a plus.
              • Attention to detail: exceptional attention to design details, ensuring that all visual elements are implemented to specification while also being able to extrapolate missing details when designs are incomplete.
                • Excellent problem-solving skills: strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges with a positive mindset.
                  • Collaborative mindset: ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and back-end developers.
