EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a leading retail company to recruit a Payroll Coordinator (6 month term) in Utrecht, Netherlands.
The Payroll Coordinator plays a vital role within the EMEA Payroll team, collaborating closely with Human Resources, Accounting, and other key partners to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time. This role also serves as the go-to expert for all payroll-related matters in the Netherlands.
Review and validate payroll data received from various sources before submission to an external payroll provider, ensuring accuracy by performing thorough data checks.
Manage payroll vendors effectively to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including salaries, terminations, garnishments, and other required deductions.
Stay up to date with changes in social security, tax laws, and compliance requirements, assessing their impact on the company and communicating relevant updates to internal teams.
Act as a strategic partner by identifying system and process improvements, contributing to the successful implementation of new payroll systems and upgrades.
At least 2 years of payroll experience.
Fluent in both English and Dutch, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of Dutch Social Security, Tax, and Employment legislation.
Experience with the Dutch 30% ruling is essential.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs) and a high level of computer literacy.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain payroll-related matters clearly and effectively.
