We are a leading Engineering & Technical consulting firm. With a team of experienced professionals, we offer comprehensive systems engineering, technical consulting, technical training, and PLM solutions. For this position, we are looking for a Technical Manager to join us and support our client.

The role

You will be a part of building the future of Amsterdam, with respect for the rich history of the city. You will be involved in urban renewal, the design of public space, the reprofiling of streets, and major maintenance. Together with your team, you convert an urban development idea into a feasible and manageable design and clear project steps with which projects can be implemented.

You will:

  • provide technical guidance to the preparation and implementation of projects,
  • balance the character of the project taking into account technology, environment, contract, and project management,
  • be an active member of the Integral Project Management teams,
  • be responsible for technical management of the projects,
  • carry out projects in targeted and successful manners, focusing on your team, the client, and the environment,
  • steer tactical and strategic level on risks, process, and content,
  • connect technology with cultural history, landscaping, and social interests,
  • maintain close contact with your people, who consist of technical project managers, work planners, and technical specialists,
  • develop and implement BIM, systems engineering, and further automatization of the design process

What you bring to the table:

Excellent command of Dutch language,

HBO working and thinking level, to be demonstrated with a diploma or acquired civil engineering knowledge and work experience.

Recent work experience in leading (metro) civil engineering projects to multiple teams at the same time and/or in an IPM team in the role of technical manager.

Recent experience gained with area development and (large) urban projects.

Experience in supervising and training colleagues in the field.

Demonstrable experience with bus stations, station areas, spatial integration, and knowledge of V&OR (PMI system).

Knowledge of processes of the municipality of Amsterdam and familiar with the Amsterdam Southeast area is a big plus

Additional requirements:

  • you're willing to start your day early (before 8 AM at Bijlmer Area)
