Our client is an ambitious early-stage startup in the semiconductor industry looking for a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our journey. The ideal candidate will drive the development of cutting-edge technologies, lead a diverse and highly qualified technical team, and be a critical interface with customers and investors. The position can be based in Eindhoven area but other locations can be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the use case for a groundbreaking Test Technology and champion its implementation in the semiconductor ecosystem.
  • Develop and prototype a cutting-edge software platform for this test technological innovation, translating scientific ideas into practical solutions.
  • Provide strategic and technical leadership to shape the company's technological vision and execute our product roadmap.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing engineering team while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones within budget constraints.
  • Act as a credible and persuasive representative of the company in engagements with customers, investors, and industry stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including expertise in IC testing (logic and memory devices) using tools such as Teradyne and Advantest.
  • In-depth knowledge of the semiconductor industry, particularly back-end processes, and industrial markets.
  • A track record of hands-on technical project management, successfully bridging technical innovation and market deployment.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional and international teams, with strong cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
  • Commercial awareness and an ability to align technological development with market opportunities.

  • Energetic, self-aware, and an engaging presenter capable of effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willing and able to bring scientific ideas, intellectual property, or innovative discoveries to market.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and their integration in semiconductor applications is a plus.
  • Willing to travel approximately 20-30%.
