Head of Agronomy - BASF | Nunhems - Location Nunhem

At BASF Nunhems, it is our ambition to make healthy eating enjoyable and sustainable. As a Head of Agronomy you lead and manage the global Operation Technology (OTEC) team for the assigned expertise (Agronomy) and ensure the delivery of OTEC projects from a content and quality perspective.

Plan, coordinate and prioritize team activities in consultation with project leaders (Technology Scientists or Technology Specialists) and stakeholders in the Operations functions and R&D to ensure timely and efficient project delivery
Establish, implement and communicate processes providing clear direction to team activities. Ensure global consistency of team activities
Actively participate in the global OTEC and Production Leadership Team and share responsibility for OTEC management and the delivery of the OTEC project portfolio
Monitor and verify that resources (facilities, equipment, processing capacity and personnel) are operational, creating short-term strategy for growth to ensure continued successful operation of the team
At the right level, monitor the quality of the work – trial plans, data collection, data analysis and reporting. Monitor timelines, output and implementation of projects in order to meet budget, deliverables, timeline and quality requirements
Ensure all team members are adequately trained and understand and comprehend the relevant procedures
Coach, supervise and review all team members encouraging and seeking opportunities for personal development and growth of all team members
MSc or PhD in a plant physiology, seed technology or a relevant scientific field
