For a partner in the Netherlands, I am actively looking for a Freelance Project/process engineer to join a leading organization in the pharmaceutical industry, where your expertise will drive projects that enhance manufacturing processes and deliver life-changing products to patients.

The Role

As a Freelance Project/process Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing and implementing processes and projects to ensure operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and product quality in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial scoping and design through to execution and delivery.
  • Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, QA/QC, operations, and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure projects adhere to timelines, budgets, and regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO).
  • Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, specifications, and validation protocols.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions.

About You

You are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for solving complex problems in the life sciences industry. You thrive in fast-paced environments and excel at driving projects that deliver tangible results.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field).
  • Proven experience in process or project engineering, ideally within the life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech sectors.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory standards, and process validation.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with equipment design, installation, or process optimization is highly desirable.
