Reports to: CEO (Executive Leadership Team)
Direct Reports: Senior leadership across Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Facilities, Customer Service, Warehousing, and Process Development Engineering

About the Company
As COO, you will be responsible for leading and optimising global operations while aligning with the CEO and executive team to drive long-term strategic goals. Your role blends high-level strategy with hands-on execution across manufacturing, supply chain, and operational functions.
The Role
As Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading and optimising the company's global operations while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. This role requires a balance of high-level strategic leadership and hands-on execution. You will work closely with the CEO, executive team, and board to drive operational excellence across manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute strategic objectives and operational strategies that align with long-term business goals, driving global expansion and scalability.
- Global Operations Management: Lead and optimise daily operations across the Netherlands and US, including production, supply chain, logistics, and facilities. Collaborate with the SVP of Global Strategic Operations to design and implement scalable systems and processes that support rapid growth.
- Team Empowerment: Mentor and develop senior operational leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement to drive operational excellence across the organisation.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate with the CFO to manage cost-effective budgeting, forecast operational expenses, and track key performance indicators to ensure profitability and financial stability.
- Risk and Compliance Management: Oversee operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality controls across all operational functions.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years in senior management roles, with a proven ability to lead operations in a fast-growing, global MedTech, life sciences, or biopharma company.
- Extensive experience managing operations across multiple regions, ideally the US and Europe, with a focus on scaling production and supply chain capabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to blend strategic vision with practical problem-solving, ensuring operational success at both the high-level and day-to-day.
- Proven track record of leading, motivating, and collaborating with senior teams, driving results in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Expertise in forecasting supply chain needs and leveraging strong commercial insight to drive cost-effective operations.
