**Business Process Architect R&D
**Introduction**

Would you like to be part of the ASML Development & Engineering (D&E) organization, home of a world-class engineering community focused on high tech new product development? For the D&E organization, we will redesign the development processes towards an End to End (E2E) process. In addition, the R&D process management competence will be set up to drive improving and maintaining the processes.

**Job Mission**

As Business Process Architect, you will take responsibility for structuring, modeling, deploying, monitoring and continuously improving the R&D processes into the E2E concept. You will be supported by business process analysts and work closely with Subject Matter Experts, within the guidelines of the ASML Business Process Modeling (BPM) community. The D&E Development process framework will be used as a baseline to guide the engineering community in their day-to-day work. Special focus will be required on identifying communication and training of processes.

A second area of responsibility is to contribute to the creation of the D&E process management competence. This process competence community is a cross ASML expert group that drives the maturity of process excellence in ASML.

As a Process Architect you secure that the processes fit into the D&E E2E process flow, together with stakeholders of the process in the D&E clusters. You ensure that the process can be deployed and ensure that training material is available. You ensure that lesson learned are considered and translated into process improvements.

You contribute to having the process competence available and mature for D&Es’ development process through active participation in the ASML business process competence community.

Activities drill down to:

- Structuring the D&E Process framework, according the BPM guidelines of ASML.
- Oversee modelling of processes to ensure the integrity of the framework
- Support in assessing and releasing processes with the process owner or delegate.
- Identify gaps in processes and provide improvements to the process owner.
- Drive for peer-to-peer process reviews, including support of internal and external audits.
- Maintain the D&E process competence network.
- Maintain the D&E Process convention rule set.
- Coordinate training material to enable smooth deployment
- Deploy, monitor and improve the D&E Processes.
- Coordinate the D&E Process improvements, provide process release notes.

**Education**
- BSc or MSc in Business Administration or any other technical domain.
- (Master) Black Belt - certification is a plus

**Experience**
- 10+ years of work experience in complex technology and international organization(s)
- Experience in R&D organization is a plus
- Proven track record in initiating and facilitating changes in processes a quality organization and Influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience with project management methodologies or Scrum/Agile way of working
- Experience with ARIS as a business process modeling platform is highly valued, but not required

**Personal skills**
- Excellent analytical skills, both “helicopter view” and eye for detail
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, being able to convince across disciplines and management layers.
- Excellent change management skills.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and team building skills
- Can-do mentality, pragmatic.

**Context of the position**

D&E is the largest sector in the ASML organization with approximately 10,000 employees. Excellence in hardware and software engineering is a powerful combination in D&E, enabling ASML to create some of the world’s most complex machines. You will report directly to the D&E Group Leader ‘D&E PGP Processes’ as part of the Processes & Learning Department which is a department of the Quality and Continuous Improvement Cluster. The primary internal interfaces are the process owners or -delegates, other stakeholders in the D&E Clusters like Quality Managers, process improvement teams, as well as members of the ‘D&E PGP Processes’ team.
